Chapter 6: Slam Bidding.

To reach a slam, total points should be ≥ 32 HCP

After splinter, we will apply rule 26. The total points should be ≥ 26 HCP.

Roman Keycard Blackwood (RKCB 1403)

The convention should not be used when

• Holding two or more cards in unbid suit without ace or king. (xx, Jx, Qx)

• Holding a void
• Holding a game invitational value such as 1NT facing 1NT hand,

Key card asks

4NT = RKCB 1403 then responses are

• 5♣ = one or four key cards

• 5♦ = zero or three key cards

• 5♥ = two or five key cards without queen trump
• 5♠ = two or five key cards with queen trump

Q asks

After 5♣ or 5♦ responses, a next step of 5♦ or 5♥ are queen trump asks (Q asks)

Responding to 5♦ (Q asks)

• 5-trump = no queen

• 5♥ = queen and king heart
• 5♠ = queen and king spade

• 5NT = show queen without any kings

• 6♣ = queen and lowest king (♣), may have higher rank king
• 6♦ = queen and lowest king (♦), may have higher rank king

Responding to 5♥ (Q asks)

• 5-trump = no queen

• 5♠ = queen and spade king
• 5NT = queen without kings

• 6♣ = queen and club king (lowest king), may have higher rank king
