Defense to Jacoby Transfer Bid.

Defense to Jacoby transfer or Texas transfer response to 1NT opening, your side does

not bid or double. Over the preemptive transfer opening.

We apply the following bidding as defense
❖ A notrump bid shows the 2- lowest suits excluding the indicated suit

❖ A double shows the higher suits excluding the indicated suit

❖ A cue bid of transfer suit shows top and bottom suit.
❖ Other new suits show natural one suit hand.

1NT-(P)-2♦*-? *2♦ = Jacoby Transfer

Overcall bids

• Double = shows spades and diamond
• 2♥ (cue bid) = shows spades and clubs.

• 2NT = shows diamonds and clubs

• 2♠/3♣/3♦ = shows one suit hand, NAT.
