Double without trump support

Responsive Doubles (Opponents Bid and Raise)

A double use for takeout after partner has made a takeout double or a simple suit overcall.
The RHO raise the bid suit. Responsive double is played through 3♠

➢ (1♥)-DBL1-(2♥)-DBL2
DBL1 is takeout double DBL2 is responsive double

➢ (1♥) - 1♠ - (2♥) - DBL

DBL is responsive double
Responsive double show 6-9 points at the two-level and 10+points at the three-level

➢ (1♣) – DBL – (2♣) – DBL*
Shows 6-9 points and 4-4 in majors

➢ (1♣) – DBL – (3♣) – DBL*

Shows 10+points and 4-4 in majors
➢ (1♥) – DBL – (2♥) – DBL *

Shows 6-9 points and denies 4-♠, asks partner to bid 5 card suit otherwise bid 2NT
asking for 4-card suit fit up the line.

➢ (1♠) – DBL – (2♠) – DBL*

Shows 6-9 points and denies 4-♥, asks partner to bid 5 card suit otherwise bid 2NT
asking for 4 card suit fit up the line.

➢ (1♣) - 1♠ - (2♣) – DBL*
Shows 6-9 points, and unbid suits→responsive double.

➢ (1♣) – DBL – (1♠) – DBL*
